The DermaLase CO₂ Laser System

The DermaLase
Carbon Dioxide Laser System

A state-of-the-art 10,600 nm fractional CO₂ laser that rejuvenates and resurfaces the skin efficiently and effectively in a small number of treatments, with very little downtime.

The laser offers two modes — fractional and surgical. At 10,600 nm the laser energy is strongly absorbed in tissue water, inducing an ablative reaction immediately.

For the Treatment of

Fine lines
Crow's Feet
Acne scarring
Wrinkles
Skin discolouration & pigmentationSun spots, age spots, sun-damaged skin
Resurfacing
Warts & Verrucae
Minor Moles
Sebaceous hyperplasia

It can also improve the texture and tone of skin and help to achieve a more youthful appearance, and can be applied across the body including the face, neck, décolletage and hands.

Fractional Treatments

A series of gentle treatment sessions over three weeks can result in an excellent resurfacing of the skin.

After a typical treatment the skin will feel tightened and smooth. Lines, wrinkles, scar tissue and pigmentation can all be reduced, even after a single session.

Results are typically visible within a few weeks and will continue for up to 12 months in many cases.

CO₂ laser treatments can really make a significant difference in terms of ageing.

The DL CO₂ Laser is an excellent tool for the treatment of wrinkles, scar tissue, acne, moles and warts, milia and skin tags, and can lead to an improvement of the skin's tone and texture.

The system's computer places fractional microbeams rapidly and precisely in a variety of shapes including circular, square and rectangular.

Each area takes only a couple of seconds to cover, making a full treatment a relatively quick process.

With proper anaesthetic techniques this treatment is relatively painless and quick.

Acne Scarring

The DL CO₂ Laser is an excellent treatment for acne scarring. Depending on the severity, one or more sessions may be required to effectively diminish the appearance of acne. A few weeks after a treatment session the epidermis will be fully repaired while dermal regeneration continues — this may last for up to a few months, increasingly improving the overall appearance.

Ablation results in steam generation in extracellular tissue water, causing tissue to vapourise almost instantly. Thermal damage in adjacent tissues is extremely limited — to within a few microns of the ablation sites.

Neocollagenesis is triggered by this process, and fibroblasts will generate new collagen over the subsequent months.

Surgical Mode

Using the surgical mode, small lesions are quickly and easily removed from the skin. This includes age spots, acne scars, fine lines and wrinkles, stretch marks and more.
