The DLD-6500 at a glance
The DermaLase DLD-6500 is a high-powered 808 nm diode laser system built for fast, comfortable and highly effective hair removal. Delivering up to 3000 W to the skin surface with a maximum fluence of 80 J/cm², it is designed for busy aesthetic clinics that want dependable results across a wide range of skin and hair types.
The 808 nm diode wavelength sits in the optimal window for follicular melanin absorption — deep enough to reach the hair bulb while sparing surrounding tissue. Combined with the system’s high available power and adjustable pulse width, this gives operators the flexibility to treat efficiently and safely.
A 12-inch multi-colour touch screen keeps operation simple, with two working modes: Fast mode for quick, guided settings, and Free mode for full manual control when an experienced operator wants to fine-tune every parameter.
Two proven treatment techniques
The DLD-6500’s high power output supports both established diode hair-removal approaches, so operators can choose the best method for each client:
- Stamping — higher fluence delivered shot-by-shot for targeted, thorough coverage, well suited to coarser hair.
- SHR (Super Hair Removal) — a rapid, in-motion ‘gliding’ technique using repeated lower-fluence pulses to gradually heat the follicle, for a more comfortable treatment across larger areas.
Comfort through advanced cooling
Client comfort and skin safety in diode hair removal depend heavily on cooling. The DLD-6500 laser head incorporates a dual-engine sapphire cooling system that holds the treatment tip at or below zero — down to around −16 °C — for the full duration of a treatment. This protects the epidermis while allowing the higher fluences needed for effective follicle heating, keeping treatments comfortable even over longer sessions.
Why clinics choose the DLD-6500
| Feature | What it means for your clinic |
|---|---|
| 808 nm diode wavelength | Sits in the optimal absorption window for hair removal across a broad range of skin and hair types. |
| Up to 3000 W output | High available power supports thorough, efficient treatments and confident results. |
| 80 J/cm² max fluence | Ample headroom to tailor energy to hair thickness and depth, from fine to coarse hair. |
| 5–100 ms pulse range | Adjustable pulse width lets operators match delivery to skin type and technique. |
| Dual-engine sub-zero cooling | Sapphire tip held at/below zero protects the skin and keeps treatments comfortable. |
| Fast & Free operating modes | Guided settings for speed and consistency, plus full manual control for experienced hands. |
| 12-inch touch screen | Clear, intuitive interface that keeps day-to-day operation simple. |
| CE Medical & FDA | Recognised regulatory clearances for professional clinical use. |
Backed by training and warranty: every DLD-6500 is supported by DermaLase’s comprehensive training programme — drawing on Mike Murphy’s 40 years in medical and aesthetic lasers — and a 2-year warranty, so you can be confident of strong clinical and commercial results.

Training & support
The DLD-6500 is supplied with DermaLase’s world-renowned training programme, developed by Mike Murphy, author of the ‘Fundamentals of Laser/IPL Hair Removal’. Proper wavelength selection and technique are central to achieving the best possible outcomes, and our training ensures operators can get the most from both the Fast and Free modes. As a Class 4 medical laser, the system must only be operated by suitably trained personnel using appropriate laser safety controls and eyewear.
